Introduction

Gambling Federation was acquired by CGTV Games in early 2007. I continue to refer to the software as Gambling Federation because that is the name most players are familiar with. There are dozens of similar Gambling Federation casinos, many of which are "white label" rebranded skins, rather than original casinos. Support tells me that players may only claim one bonus among the G-Fed casinos. I consider Gambling Federation software to be above average for a smaller group. Graphics and general quality are good. Most games have a fast play and low bet options. For example, players may make 1 cent bets in roulette. There is a large selection of video poker games including some variations that are not found elsewhere. Otherwise, game selection is basic. Several common table games are not available, including 3-card poker and war. While the software is decent, unfortunately the management is poor. See the warning below for more information.

Update -- In Dec 2010, a player reported no processing of cashouts and no answer to emails at Commodore Casino. They did not answer my emails as well. It is possible that the same is true for all Gambling Federation casinos.

Gambling Federation has a poor reputation among the online gaming community. In the past, they have denied winnings to players who opened many accounts in rapid succession. In 2005, Gambling Federation added "malware" to their software which prevented players' home computers from accessing a site that was associated with spam. This malware was removed, after the incident became public. Years ago, some players reported statistically improbable win/loss results with this software. However, in recent months, players have reported normal win/loss results.

Bonuses

Gambling Federation bonuses are cashable. The sign-up bonuses usually have a wagering requirement of either 10x(B+D) or 15x(B+D). The two allowed table games -- Caribbean poker and bonus poker (Texas hold'em bonus) -- count 50% towards this wagering requirement. Slots and lottery games count 100% towards the wagering requirement. I consider Texas hold'em bonus to be the best choice, in spite of the increased wagering. The terms at some casinos imply that players may only claim one bonus among the group. Support tells me that players can indeed claim only one bonus among all of the G-Fed casinos.

The typical casino terms state "/€/£1 wagered on Ante in Caribbean Poker or Texas Bonus Poker counts as $/€/£0.50 towards the wager requirement." Support claims that this means only the initial bets on Ante contribute to the wagering requirement, not raise bets. I have never heard of a casino using such a system before. This change increases the house edge per unit wagered of Hold'em Bonus from 0.53% to 2.04%.

Table Definitions Group -- Casinos often are linked together in e group. These groups are listed in the table. I recommend not simultaneously playing two sign up bonuses from the same group. USA? --"No" means the casino allows no players from the United States. "No New " means the casino allows existing players, but does not permit new registrations. "Yes" means the casino allows players from anywhere in the United States. "Some" means the casino allows players from some US states, but not others. Microgaming casinos typically allow players in 39 US states. They do not permit players from 11 states where gambling is legislated illegal or where there have been related court cases -- Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, Nevada, Oregon, South Dakota, Washington, Wisconsin, New York and New Jersey.
