Introduction

5Dimes offers several casinos, with several alternative bonuses. A summary follows. 5Dimes has a decent reputation as a sportsbook, earning an A rating at Sportsbook Review. The bonus casino uses DGS software. The MatchPlay casino uses Gametime software. The AST software were removed in November 2011.

 

MatchPlay Casino -- Offers a 50% "MatchPlay reward" up to $125 with 20xB wagering on blackjack. The maximum bonus is limited to $100 for players outside of North America. 5Dimes also offers 33% reload bonuses with 15xB wagering on blackjack. After making a deposit, request the MatchPlay reward via live chat or other contact method.

MatchPlay rewards differ from both typical cashable bonuses and typical sticky bonuses. The MatchPlay bonus is given after completing wagering. After receiving the bonus, you can choose to either bet from your MatchPlay balance or your cash balance. With each MatchPlay bet, you lose that much of the MatchPlay balance. Winnings from MatchPlay bets are credited as cash. This system differs from Grand Virtual, Chartwell, Parlay, and Wager 21 sticky bonuses in that only winnings from each bet are converted to cash, not the bet itself. For example with a $10 blackjack bet on a "sticky 2" bonus, both the $10 bet and winnings from the $10 bet are converted to cash. With a $10 blackjack bet on a 5Dimes MatchPlay, only the $10 winnings from the bet are converted to cash. Using low risk bets on a 1:1 game, you are expected to retain about half of the bonus. With higher risk bets on games with large rare payouts, the expected bonus retention increases.

Note that you must wait 30 days to cashout your deposit. If you cashout your balance in less than 30 days, you forfeit winnings made from the MatchPlay reward.

Bonus Casino -- Has games with a lower house edge than standard. For example Pai Gow with a -2% commission (commission goes to player), rather than the standard 5%; full pay Deuces Wild with a slight player edge; and more than 60 versions of blackjack with varying favorable rules. Note that full pay Deuces Wild and other games may be only offered on specific days/hours. See the DGS page for more specific house edge information.

 

Cashouts

Note that there is a small fee for cashouts. I suppose the bonus casino with a negligible house edge makes this necessary. After claiming a MatchPlay reward, you must wait 30 days to cashout your deposit. If you cashout your balance in less than 30 days, you forfeit winnings made from the MatchPlay reward.

 

Warning!

The Gametime software used in the MatchPlay casino is not well tested. While playing blackjack, my card distribution felt odd, but my net win/loss results were within normal variance. I will remove or update this warning once more player results are available.
